Typed, undated, probably late 19th century (4 p.) correspondence from Moore in Edgerton (Mich.) to Mrs. Perry, location unknown. In the letter, Moore thanked Perry for her congratulations on the birth of her baby, Jesse Moore, discussed her children, speaking engagements, and had included a poem about Jesse.

Moore was a Michigan author and poet of six books. She was called the "Sweet Singer of Michigan." Born on Dec. 1, 1847 in Plainfield (Mich.), Moore lived there until the age of 10 when her parents moved to Algonac (Mich.). She spent her adult life in nearby Edgerton (Mich.).
